I'm an audio engineer and musician. I've written hundreds of songs and played in various bands for the last 25 years. Always believing in the 100% DIY approach, I'm completely hands on with recording and producing my albums. Punk and Ska are my top genres, I also love Metal, Singer-Songwriter, Indie, Americana, and Pop music. My favorite artist of all time is Billy Joel. Currently, I write, play guitar, sing, and produce for the band Common Kid Flower, a duo with my wife. Oil Slick, the TrashCat/ThrashCat, is our mascot. He's very ornery and generally only likes fast, brutal, thrash metal but he's always in the studio and gives a great second opinion.
Along with mastering & mixing services, I also can help you finish a song with lyrics, whether it's co-writing or if you are having total writer's block! My recent work can be heard in my band, Common Kid Flower. My writing style is fun, energetic, personal, and honest.
At the end of the day, your music may be amazing, but if it doesn't have the right finishing touch, it can be the hardest thing to convince others. I'm here to help you get your vision fulfilled, and your music out into the world.
Please do not hesitate to contact me about your personal budget and your project needs. I'm always flexible and love working with fellow artists.
Being a musician myself and producing my own albums over the years, I've developed a critical ear and take a musical and creative approach to mastering. I also understand how incredibly attached you get to your latest song or album, and how frustrating it can become trying to achieve the right 'pro' sound for the final product. My goal when mastering your project is to strike that perfect tonal balance, volume, and dynamics that makes your listeners become as attached to it as you are. With that in mind, I don't just rely on experience, I also continue to research and educate myself on the best practices, techniques, tools and stay current with the industry. My home studio will continue to evolve as I seek out the best digital tools and equipment ensuring that your project gets the treatment it deserves.
